2023 Hospice Regatta
Sailors are called to render assistance to any person in danger by the #1 rule in the Racing Rules of Sailing. It is fitting that the Hampton Roads Hospice Regatta, like others across the country, supports hospice care.
A benefit for the Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads, our second annual Hospice Regatta is a One Design event for multiple classes, including the Viper 640, Melges 15, 505, Sonar, J24, and Hampton One Design.
The regatta will take place May 20/21, 2023, hosted by Hampton Yacht Club(4707 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669).
A unique Happy Memory celebration on Saturday evening will be a participatory event featuring submitted photos to honor loved ones' lives.
The winner of the largest fleet will be recognized on the Turner Perpetual Trophy. This year we also inaugurate the Eddie Williams Sportsmanship Award, which will recognize sportsmanship, one design racing, and the personal power of hospice.
